THE COMPANY

Established in 1998, G&W Science and Engineering Co. provides international expertise for the quality of building materials based on microstructure analyses in the fields of cement, concrete, soil, road construction, buildings of historical heritage and environmental constructions. The material analysis techniques include among others X-rays methods of analyses, petrography, electron microscopy, EDAX, infrared spectroscopy, and thermal analyses in combination with traditional methods of chemical analyses.

Experts in the latest international research subjects of environmental cements and LC3, sulfate attack of concrete: the stability of ettringite and thaumasite, superplasticizers. Also, soil stabilization for environmental-friendly buildings such as wooden structure as alternative for concrete, and the characterization of materials used in historical buildings and monuments. G&W provides a reliable and international scientific acknowledged reference in building material scientific analysis.

Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Hanaa Ghorab has been active for decades in academic scientific research and development in the field of chemistry of cement and concrete materials and soil. She took over the position of Vice Dean for Environment at the Faculty of Science, Helwan University. Member of National Codes at the Housing and Building Research Center.
Author of 120 scientific papers in international specialized journals and conferences. Reviewer for highly qualified journals, such as Construction and Building Material, Materiales de Construccion (Spain), and the Czech Science Foundation. Editorial board in Cement Wapno Beton (Poland).
